Description
Lina Doumani is a registered Clinical Dietitian with over 20 years of experience in the UAE, specializing in eating disorders and evidence-based nutritional therapy.
Licensed in both the UAE and Lebanon, and recognized as an Accredited Practicing Dietitian by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (USA), Lina is committed to supporting individuals in achieving optimal health through sustainable, long-term lifestyle changes. Her clinical expertise includes managing conditions such as diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, and gastrointestinal disorders including IBS and IBD.
Before establishing her clinical practice in Dubai, Lina was an instructor at the American University of Beirut, teaching in the Department of Food Science and Nutrition. She also gained extensive experience as a speaker at the Middle East Medical Assembly, and worked at several private hospitals in Beirut. Notably, she was the first dietitian to venture into opening her own private practice in Beirut. Her Master’s degree in Nutrition Sciences from King’s College London (UK) and UK accreditation opened several doors and shaped her professional journey.
In Dubai, Lina has developed a special niche working with adolescents facing body image issues and eating disorders. Her work with this group is always carried out in close collaboration with psychiatrists and psychologists specialized in eating disorder treatment, ensuring a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach.
Lina has advanced training in treating patients with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). Her compassionate, patient-centered care integrates medical nutrition therapy with psychological support.
