Weight-loss injections, slimming pills and “miracle” supplements are everywhere on social media. For the coaches, trainers, nutritionists and therapists listed on Heal & Zeal Wellness Hub, that noise is also an opportunity.
People are tired of promises that do not last. They are looking for experts they can trust. The professionals who stand out right now are the ones who offer real support, promote healthy habits and are honest about what any product can and cannot do.
This post is a practical guide for our community of wellness experts, and a quick reference for anyone searching for support. For the full strategy, read our founder’s wellness marketing playbook in Brainz Magazine.
What has changed in the UAE
Three developments in 2026 tell us where wellness marketing is heading:
Weight-loss medication is a medical decision. The Emirates Drug Establishment approved oral Wegovy in June 2026 for adults with obesity or weight-related conditions. UAE doctors have stressed it is for people with a medical need, alongside healthy habits, not a cosmetic shortcut. (Khaleej Times, June 2026)
Unapproved slimming products are being targeted. In July 2026, the EDE acted against 71 sources selling unapproved weight-loss products and referred 14 influencers to the National Media Office. (Gulf News, July 2026)
“Miracle” claims are banned in Dubai health advertising. New DHA social media standards prohibit words like “magic”, “guaranteed”, “100%” and “no side effects”, and they apply to influencers too. (Gulf News, September 2026)
The message is clear: honesty is no longer optional, and it is quickly becoming the strongest way to build a following.
Five ways to stand out the honest way
Make your credentials impossible to miss
Add your qualifications, certifications and license details to your Wellness Hub profile. If you hold a DHA or other UAE health license, include it. Visible credentials are the fastest way to earn trust when clients are unsure who to believe.
Describe what you actually do
Skip the hype. Explain your services clearly: who you work with, what a session looks like and what clients can realistically expect. Specific beats spectacular every time.
Promote the lifestyle, not the shortcut
Share content about strength, nourishing food, sleep, stress and building routines that fit UAE life. Celebrate consistency and small wins rather than dramatic before-and-after results.
Know your lane and refer beyond it
If a client asks about medication, the answer is simple: speak to a licensed doctor. If they need emotional support, nutrition guidance or a training plan outside your expertise, refer them. The Hub’s four pillars make it easy to find trusted colleagues.
Audit your words
Remove “miracle”, “guaranteed”, “100%”, “instant results” and “no side effects” from your bio, posts and ads. Replace them with honest descriptions of your approach and what clients say about working with you.
Your Heal & Zeal Wellness Hub profile is the right place to put all five of these into practice.
Share this: 6 questions to ask before you buy
Experts, feel free to share this checklist with your clients. It works well as an Instagram carousel or a printed card in your studio or clinic.
Before buying any weight-loss product or supplement, ask yourself:
Is it registered in the UAE? If you cannot verify it, do not take it.
Am I buying from a licensed pharmacy or authorised retailer? Be cautious of social media sellers and private messages.
Does it promise miracles? “100% natural”, “no side effects” and “guaranteed results” are red flags.
Is it a prescription medicine offered without a doctor? That is never safe.
Is someone rushing me? Countdown timers and “limited stock” are pressure tactics.
Have I asked a professional? A doctor, pharmacist or registered dietitian can tell you whether you need it at all.

Editorial note
This article is for general wellness and marketing information only. It is not medical advice and does not recommend any medication, supplement or treatment. Prescription weight-loss medication should only be used when a qualified doctor confirms a medical need. Always check that supplements are registered in the UAE and consult a healthcare professional before taking them.
